Police Log Aug. 15: DUIs, drug charges

Andrea M. Trago, 40, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act and with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, after the vehicle she was a passenger in was stopped for erratic driving, according to a police report. The incident occurred at 12:41 a.m. on July 16, in the 9000 block of Gap Newport Pike, in New Garden Township. Before the vehicle came to a stop, the report said, police observed the rear passenger, later identified as Trago, throw an item behind her.

Police said Kalimah Z. White, 45, of Camp Hill, was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, as well as with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act, after the 2017 Chevrolet she was operating was stopped for erratic driving. The incident occurred July 15 at 10:43 p.m., in the 9100 block of Gap Newport Pike, in New Garden Township. Upon making contact with White, the report said, police detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and a partially consumed marijuana cigarette was observed in an ashtray.

Gerrod D. Hunter, 28, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with DUI, related traffic offenses, as well as drug charges after the 2004 Dodge he was operating was observed traveling on the shoulder of the roadway and crossing the center dividing lines, a police report said. The incident occurred on July 14 at 7:13 p.m., in the 1200 block of Newark Road, in New Garden Township. Police said they were met with the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the driver's window when they approached.

Police said Brian K. Brown, 48, of Joppa Town, Md. was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, following a traffic stop for moving violations on July 12, in the 6700 block of Limestone Road, in New Garden Township. Police on stationary patrol observed a 2010 Cadillac pass them at a high rate of speed at 11:26 p.m., the report said. The report also said police observed him tailgating a vehicle while activating the brakes multiple times. He then abruptly swerved onto the shoulder before pulling over, according to police.
