Chester County authorities are hoping that someone can identify the robbery suspect who held up a Kennett Square bank this morning.

District Attorney Tom Hogan said the robbery took place at the Santander Bank, 313 W. Cypress St., in the borough.  He said a 5-foot-6 male with medium build entered the bank at approximately 8:50 a.m., announced a hold-up, and gave the teller the impression that he had a weapon or explosive.

The suspect was wearing a zip-up grey hoodie with a “Puma” logo on the left chest. He had a short goatee and wore blue jeans, a black Eagles hat, and sunglasses, Hogan said.

The suspect stole cash and placed it in a blue canvas bag with black straps before fleeing on foot, Hogan said. Kennett Square Police are being assisted by the Chester County Detectives, the Pennsylvania State Police, New Garden Township Police and Kennett Township Police. Anyone with information should contact the Kennett Square Police Department at 610-444-0501.
