The Chester County Recycling Coordinator, Nancy Fromnick, announced the fifth Chester County Household Hazardous Waste Collection event for 2019. Mapping manholes and historic sites

Chadds Ford Township supervisors received an update on a mapping project that pinpoints historic sites, manholes and storm sewers in the township. The Gilpin House at the Brandywine Battlefield Park is getting some needed repairs. According to Andrew Outten, the park’s director of education and museum services, the house is getting a new roof and siding. He said the Ring House, on the other side of the park, will also have work done.

UHS junior competes at National American Miss Pageant

It’s not a shrimp on the barbie but Mike Dehaut, aka “Mr. D,” the camp director at Brandywine Battlefield Park History Camp, throws some corn on the grill during the weekly lunch at the camp. There was turkey, duck, rabbit, ham, beef, string beans, beets, squash, a variety of fruits and a traditional dish of sausage, onion and apple called bubble and squeak.
