Brandywine Business Network donates to operation Warm.

Members of Brandywine Business Network presented a check for $751.64 to Heather Connolly representing Operation Warm. The money will buy coats for needy children. Dick Sanford purchased 58 coats twenty years ago and started the organization. Last year 400,000 coats were distributed. The projection for next year is 450,000 coats. The Chadds Ford Civic Association’s spring road cleanup is this Saturday, April 27. Volunteers will meet at the township building at 8 a.m.

Artist Tim Wadsworth will have a one-man exhibit at Barbara Moore Fine Art beginning Wednesday, May 1 through May 15. The opening night reception is from 5-8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. will hold its 24th annual Race Against Violence in downtown West Chester on Saturday, April 27, at 9 a.m. This annual family-friendly 5K and 1 Mile Walk benefits the agency, which has been providing free supportive services to victims of crime and violence across Chester County for more than four decades. There will be cash prizes for the top male and female finishers, in addition to award medals for the top male and female finishers in a variety of age brackets. Registration is now $30. Race registration and bib pickup will take place at the Chester County Justice Center (201 W. Market Street) at 8 a.m. on race day, just steps away from CVC. Register online at www.CVCofCC.org/race.
