Police investigating fatal hit and run

Pennsylvania State Police from the Media barracks are continuing their investigation into a fatal hit and run accident Wednesday night. The victim, a pedestrian who was walking along Route 202 in Concord Township, is identified as Jannie Lee Smallwood, 28, of Wilmington.

According to a police report, Smallwood was struck while on the northbound shoulder of Route 202, north of Pyle Road at approximately 9:50 p.m. The vehicle is believed to have been a white Ford Edge, most likely an SEL or Limited Class, and may be missing a passenger side mirror and have other damage to the passenger side headlight area.
