Mrs. Elizabeth C. (Davis) Brown, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 17, surrounded by her family. Betty was raised in Philadelphia, Good Shephard Parish, and graduated from West Catholic High School. She spent 37 years in Southwest Philadelphia, St. Barnabas Parish raising her family with her husband Albert before moving to Collegeville to continue 20 years of life enjoying her grandchildren.
She had most recently resided at Maris Grove in Concord Township and became a longtime member of St. Cornelius Church. Betty enjoyed going to dinner with friends, riding the bus to the local shopping centers, and being in the German club. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the hallmark channel, cooking shows, the Phillies, and vacationing at the beach. Her love of baking earned her the nickname "Cookie MomMom."
Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Leonard and Catherine (Walters) Davis. She was predeceased by her husband Albert J. Brown who died in 2012. Survivors: Her six children: Albert Brown Jr. (Irene), Dr. Michael Brown (Patti), Kathleen Doghramji (Paul), Stephen Brown (MaryAnn), Marybeth McMunn (Kevin), and Susan Mauri (Wayne), Her Brother: James Davis, as well as her 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave Aston, PA 19014, and Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA 19317.
Funeral mass: Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cornelius Church.
