The Ivy Creek retirement community officially opened on Sunday. The official name, Ivy Creek Gracious Retirement Living boasts 142 rental rooms with 45 already leased and 70 more secured by a deposit.
Ivy Creek’s parent company is Hawthorn Senior Living, from Vancouver, Wash. Director of Operations Bob McConnell said the company chose Concord Township because it’s a great location for seniors with nearby shopping and medical facilities. In addition to the 142 rental units — from studios to two-bedroom apartments ranging in price from $2,495 to $4,800 per month — there is also a mini theater, three chef-prepared meals per day, housekeeping and laundry services.
On hand for the opening were Dominic Pileggi and John Gillespie, president and vice president of Concord Township Council. Gillespie read a proclamation naming Sunday, April 28, 2019, as Senior Citizen Day.
Ivy Creek is on Franklin Drive behind the Shops at Brinton Lake. For information, phone 610-981-2740.
