Nancy Ellen Dowling (Lynch), 74, of Chadds Ford, died Thursday, Nov. 9.
Nancy leaves her beloved husband Jerry, daughter Kathy, son-in-law Ralph and grandchildren John and Colleen with many treasured memories of her smile, sparkling blue eyes and contagious laughter. She was known for her extraordinary sense of humor, playfulness, zest for life and quick wit, as well as for her poetry, artwork and amazing brownies. Nancy loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit, but she most enjoyed simply spending time with family and friends. With her compassion and loving kindness, she helped countless others overcome their challenges. She herself faced any challenge with grace, strength and good humor. Nancy embodied the quote “Live well, Laugh often, Love much.” She accomplished all three exceptionally well.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342 with visitation from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be gifted in Nancy’s name to Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
