State police from the Avondale barracks are investigating a double homicide in East Marlborough Township Thursday evening. A brief incident report was released early Friday morning.
According to the report, police were dispatched to the 200 block of Wiltshire Drive where they found two people who suffered fatal gunshots. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, identified only as a 76-year-old man, was taken into custody. The report did not identify the victims.
Police reported the time of the incident as 6:17 p.m., and said more information would be released after further investigation.
