Mary Frances May, 86, of Newark, died Friday, March 29, at Churchman’s Village. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Brackbill and the late Mary Deeny Baer. Mary was a retail clerk at the Dress Barn in Wilmington, for 10 years, retiring in 2002. Mary enjoyed music, singing, dancing whenever she could, and spending time with her family. She is survived…

Work has finally begun to replace Twin Bridges, the span over the Brandywine on S. Creek Road between Chadds Ford and Pennsbury townships. The road is scheduled to be closed from south of Bullock Road and north of Cossart Road until sometime in autumn of 2025.

PennDOT has announced the following weather-dependent road projects that could affect drivers in the greater Chadds Ford area from April 8 through April 12. Motorists are urged to allow extra time traveling through one of the construction zones.
