Murphy to chair CF for another year

Chadds Ford Township Supervisor Frank Murphy will chair the township Board of Supervisors again in 2020. He and fellow Supervisor Noel Barbone voted to elect Murphy as chair during the state-mandated reorganization meeting on Jan. 6. Murphy has served as supervisors’ chairman since 2015. After school activities to stop at 5 p.m.

Because of anticipated inclement weather, all after school activities will end at 5 p.m. for Unionville-Chadds Ford and Kennett Consolidated school districts. As of 12:54 p.m., there was no word from the Garnet Valley School District.

Snow expected this evening

The National Weather Service and AccuWeather are both calling for a strong chance of snow later today. Precipitation will start as rain, then change to snow around 5 p.m. and continue to midnight. The weather service is calling for up to three inches of snow; AccuWeather is saying one to two inches.
