Police Log Feb. 6: Accidents, theft, drug possession

Kenneth B. Sellers, 60, of Unionville, was cited for his role in a traffic accident at Route 926 and N. Walnut Street in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 31, a police report said. According to police, Sellers was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection but he pulled out into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Sellers was uninjured but police said the other driver was believed to have incurred a minor injury.

State police are investigating a case of retail theft that occurred at the Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 30. The report did not include a description or list what was stolen but did say multiple items were stolen. The incident happened at 2:50 p.m.

Southern Chester County Regional Police 

Police said Dane R. Gill, 33, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with a violation of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act (Act 64) after he was taken into custody on an outstanding Bench Warrant and was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. The incident occurred on Jan. 22 at 12:30 a.m., in the 9000 block of Gap Newport Pike, in New Garden Township.

According to a police report, a 17-year-old juvenile male from Kennett Square was arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act (Act 64), after he was found to be in possession of numerous plastic bags of marijuana. The incident occurred Jan. 20 at approx. 9:08 p.m. in the 800 block of West Cypress Street, in New Garden Township. The juvenile was processed and released. Charges were filed through Chester County Juvenile Probation.
