He was the husband of Terri Bottomley McCreary, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Traffic advisory for March 22-24

Chester Water Authority is planning a right lane closure on northbound East Cypress Street/Baltimore Pike between Cope Road and McFarlan Road in Kennett Township, on Wednesday, March 22, through Friday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for water main installation, PennDOT announced today. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

School board authorizes spending

As was indicated by their discussions during last week’s workshop, Unionville-Chadds Ford School Board Directors this week authorized spending more than $540,000 on building improvements. Directors also voted to spend an additional $230,000 for buses and agreed on a resolution in opposition to a state proposal that would eliminate property taxes from school funding.
