Police searching for Lower Oxford woman, 64

State police from the Avondale barracks are seeking the public's assistance to locate a 64-year-old woman from Lower Oxford Township, who is believed to be endangered.

Police said Mary Jane Poe was reported missing by her family on Wednesday, Jan. 6; she was last seen at her residence in the 100 block of Conowingo Circle on Friday, Jan. 1, at 6:30 a.m., according to a state police press release.

Poe's last known location was in Philadelphia in the area of Moravian and South 17th streets on Jan. 6 at 9:32 p.m. Police said Poe is considered endangered because she suffers from diabetes and does not have her medication. In the past, she has become confused and disoriented and has been unable to fine her way home due to diabetic emergencies, the release said.

Poe, who does not have a vehicle, is described at 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds with very short black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the barracks at 610-268-2022.
