Idalia Valentin of Kennett Square

Idalia Valentin, 71, of Kennett Square, died Thursday, Aug. 28, at Ware Presbyterian Village.

Born in Moca, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Aniceto Perez and Francisca Alonso Perez.

She was a member of the Rock of Refuge Church in Toughkenamon.

Idalia enjoyed going to church, playing Bingo, and writing in her diary.

She is survived by three sons, Benjamin Valentin and his wife Melissa of Kennett Square, David Valentin, of Lincoln University, and Neftali Valentin of Kennett Square; three daughters, Gladys Valentin of Coatesville, Elizabeth Valentin of Wilmington, and Awilda Rodriguez and her husband Samuel of Sanatoga, Pa.; five brothers, Ernesto Perez Alonso, Nestali Perez Alonso, Gilberto Perez Alonso all of Oxford, Quino Perez of Kennett Square, and Domingo Perez Alonso of West Grove; two sisters, Amelia Cortez of Oxford, and Carmin Ferrer of Puerto Rico; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one brother, Francisco Perez.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street in Kennett Square. Her funeral service will follow. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Route 82 in Kennett Square.
