Alexander A. Jasienski, formerly of West Grove

Alexander A. Jasienski, 92, of Downingtown, formerly of West
Grove, died Sunday, May 29 at Brandywine Hospital surrounded by his family. He
was the husband of the late Louise Firak Jasienski, who passed away in 2007,
and with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Newtown Square, he was the son of Constantine
and Valeria Zapiec Jasienski.

A proud Kennett Square farmer from 1950-1990, he raised his
family and partnered with his two brothers on their farm. At their peak they
managed one thousand hogs on their hundred and ten acres. Their farm is one of
the few in Chester County that remains as open space at Bucktoe Creek
Preserve.

In retirement he was an avid and knowledgeable gardner, bird
enthusiast, and Polka lover.

He was a devoted Catholic belonging to St. Patrick, Kennett
Square, St. Gabriel, Avondale, St. Mary, West Grove and briefly, to St. Joseph,
Downingtown. He worked his schedule around daily TV Mass from Scranton, EWTN
and the 5:30 a.m. local Sunday Mass.

He is survived by his daughter, Eileen Schiappa
(Edward) of Downingtown; son, Michael Jasienski (Bertha) of Felton; and
daughter Mary Ann Pickel (Bunny) of Landenberg; three grandchildren, Michael
Pickel (Sandi), Maureen Pickel, and Heather Kent (Shad). He also has two
great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Taylor Kent of Iowa and a
sister-in-law, Anastasia Jasienski of Kennett Square.

His viewing will be on Thursday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at
the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square. You
may also visit with his family on Friday morning, June 3, from 10-11 at
St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Rt.41),
Avondale. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Kennett Square.
