Friends Folk Club is very pleased to announce a rare area appearance by Tex-Mex musician Tish Hinojosa on Friday, October 13th.

Tish Hinojosa is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Hinojosa’s blend of folk, country, Latino, and pop has an undeniable far reaching appeal, garnering her accolades such as a White House concert at the invitation of President and Mrs. Clinton and teaming up with artists such as Joan Baez, Booker T. Jones, Flaco Jimenez, Pete Seeger, and Dwight Yoakam.

“Hinojosa is an angel in cowboy boots with one of the sweetest purest songs to be heard in quite awhile. And when she sings in Spanish, her voice has more warmth than that of Linda Ronstadt. Tish Hinojosa delivers music like an angel.”
-HARTFORD COURANT-

Tish's song, Something in the Rain was included on the CD Songs for the Earth: A Tribute to Rachel Carson.

Tickets are $15, and will be available at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Refreshments are available at a reasonable price. Doors will open at 7:00 PM, and concert will start at 7:30 PM. The Oxford Meetinghouse is located at 260 S. 3rd St, Oxford, PA.
