When a monarch changes there is not just a coronation, a great deal of additional work has to be done too. This lecture by Dr. Susan Kay-Williams, chief executive of the Royal School of Needlework (RSN), will look at some of the insignia, banners, flags, and other accouterments the RSN had to change or create for new ceremonial duties. Dr. Kay-Williams will share the range of RSN clients and their requirements as well as give insight into public life in 1950s Britain. Purchase tickets online or call 800.448.3883. $10 per Member. $15 per nonmember.
