The Chaddsford Winery is up for sale after 42 years.

It’s been 12 years since Eric and Lee Miller retired from the ChaddsFord Winery. Now, the Petrillo family of New York, the remaining founders and owners, are looking to sell. The asking price for the 5-acre property on Route 1 is $4.5 million. This would be the second local winery sale in a year. Longwood Gardens bought the Galer Estate Vineyard and Winery in September.…

Police Log March 27: Assault

Kennett Square Police Department • Police said Joshua Laaksonen, 24, of Kennett Square, was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, following an altercation during which he allegedly pushed a female subject to the ground, causing injury. Officers observed a small laceration and bruising on the victim’s left knee. Laaksonen was taken into custody and transported to central booking at Chester County…
