U-CF to hold threat exercise

The Unionville-Chadds F9rd School District is planning an Active Threat Exercise on Wednesday, April 10. That day is a scheduled in-service day with no students in class.

“This planned exercise is an effort to ensure our emergency preparedness,” said District Director of Communications Nikki Laroya in a press release.

During the exercise, the district office, Unionville High. School and Charles F. Patton Middle School campuses will be closed to the community allowing the district administrators and high school staff to participate in the exercise.

Also on hand will be members of the Chester County Department of Emergency Services, Pennsylvania State Police, Longwood Fire Company, Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company, and more.

Laroya said “We are reaching out to assure you that there is no need for alarm should you see this otherwise unusual activity. We thank you for your support in keeping our schools safe.”
