Chadds Ford Township volunteers get ready to clean up trash from township roads during the semiannual Civic Association Roadside Cleanup Day on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The Kennett Square Farmers Market presents a Fermentation Festival on Friday, Nov. 1 from 3–7 p.m. Meet the makers of locally fermented foods and beverages, explore “live” cultures and demos, and bring the kids for the “Farmers Market Forage, a scavenger hunt. Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is Nature Play Day at Mt. Cuba Center when visitors can discover the wild side of the center with a day of outdoor fun. Fly a kite; get up close and personal with tractors and trucks; navigate a nature obstacle course and more. Embrace your inner explorer on a guided hike or hop aboard a hayride through rolling terrain. This event takes place outside our main gardens area. Parking and admission for this event is located at 1003 Old Wilmington Road, in Hockessin, just east of Brackenville Road. All activities included with a general admission ticket, free for members. Rain date: Sunday, Nov. 3.

The Clover Market is coming back to Kennett Square for a first-time fall event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. The event is free and open to all, with parking across the street at Kennett High School and a free shuttle running back and forth to town all day. It features a curated lineup of antique and handmade vendors, a fabulous food truck lineup (Cow and Curd, Dos Hermanos, Natalie's Fine Foods, Phyllodelphia, Say Cheese, Flour and Oats Artisan Cookies & Gotta Lotta Gelata), Victory Beer and Harvest Ridge/Rebel Hill Cider, live music, face-painting, and meet and greets with the adoptable animals from Finding Shelter Animal Rescue.

Beach Boys tribute band Sail On plays at Uptown! on Nov. 9.and

Uptown! is pleased to present Sail On, the top Beach Boys tribute band in the world. Based out of Nashville, Tenn., the group will perform one show only at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., offering fans of an Endless Summer the chance to have Fun, Fun, Fun in West Chester. If you catch the wave and get tickets to this event, you are encouraged to dress for a beach party in your favorite Hawaiian shirt, shades & flip flops. Uptown! It’s time for a puppet show at the Chester County Historical Society. On Saturday, Nov. 2, CCHS hosts Harmony Hill Puppet Theatre's The Mystery of Mannerly Mansion. Mannerly Mansion has been robbed just days after the "Sure-Lock Homes Security Agency" installed an alarm system. Fox Mouldy and Danish Kelly are sent to investigate. Did the alarm system fail? Or was it the butler? Or the Legendary Mannerly Ghost? During the show, the elements of a mystery story are discussed, and audience members are given the chance to guess the solution. By the end, it is discovered that there is more than one secret within Mannerly Mansion, and one goes all the way back to the time of the Underground Railroad. Tickets are $5 per child at the door; adult caregivers are admitted free. Showtime is 10-11 a.m.
