Roadwork for Oct. 19-Oct. 25

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Oct. 19-Oct. 25. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

• A single lane closure is scheduled on southbound Route 202 at various locations between Boot Road and Dilworthtown Road in West Goshen, Westtown, Thornbury and Birmingham townships on Sunday, Oct. 20, through Thursday, Oct. 24, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning for crack sealing.

• Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 926 — between Pocopson and North Mill roads — in East Marlborough, Pennsbury and Pocopson townships for Tuesday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 25 for tree trimming.

• Pole replacement will cause lane restrictions on Route 202, between Oakland and Dilworthtown roads in Chadds Ford Township through Oct. 23.

• Road reconstruction will close Spring Valley Road — between Conchester Highway and Concord Road — in Concord Township through April 30, 2020. Detours will be posted.

• Lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway, between Routes 1 and Clayton Park Drive will continue through Oct. 20, 2020, for reconstruction and widening.

• Chester Water Co. is retiring an existing water line that will cause lane restrictions on E. Baltimore Pike — between Ladbroke Lane and Jaclyn Drive — in East Marlborough Township through ct. 25.

• Barrier installation will cause lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road between Green Valley Road and Powell Road in Newlin Township through June 2020.
