Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan announced that John James Fisher III, 38, of Upper Darby, was arrested on child pornography charges after he was found to be searching for and downloading images of young girls, aged 13 to 16 years. Fisher was out on probation when he was arrested by Delaware County authorities, after being released from prison on the same charges in March 2016.
Following a routine check of John Fisher’s residence, Delaware County Probation Officer Carissa Tilotson noticed Fisher was nervous when questioned about his Internet use. Upon further investigation and field search of his electronic devices, Tilotson discovered that Fisher had deleted all of his Internet history. When questioned, Fisher admitted he had been searching for images of young girls who were in provocative clothing or wearing little to no clothing. Det. Edmond Pisani, of the Delaware County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and Det. Sgt. Kenneth Bellis interviewed Fisher who admitted to searching for images of young girls on Google and that he would masturbate to the images.
Fisher is charged with the sexual abuse of children, a felony of the second degree and criminal use of a communications facility, a felony of the third degree. He was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility on December 18. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 9, 2017.
According to the criminal complaint, Fisher “knowingly possessed…material depicting a child under the age of 17 years engaging in a prohibited sexual act or in the simulation of such act…”
