Jack Hamby, 74, of Landenberg, died Monday, April 29, at his residence.
Born in Lansing, N.C., he was the son of the late Emmanuel and Ora Phipps Hamby.
Jack was a farm hand, working for Josiah Marvel for 50 years.
He enjoyed listening to country music, going to Longwood Gardens and going to the tractor shows in Kinzers.
He is survived by one brother, Donald J. Hamby of Landenberg, and one sister, Jean Jones and her husband James of Nottingham.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 3, , at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Road in West Grove. There will also be a viewing, service and burial in North Carolina, on Tuesday, May 7, at the Badger Funeral Home, West Jefferson, N.C.
