Filomena (Florence) “Mamie” D’Antonio of Pocopson

Florence Di Stefano D’Antonio,
98, died at Pocopson on Feb. 2. She is the daughter of the late Pietro and
Concetta Di Stefano. She was born in West Chester and resided in the Kennett
area for more than 67 years and spent the last seven years in the care of the staff
at Pocopson Home in West Chester.

Florence was married to Alberto
D’Antonio in 1936. She was predeceased by Alberto and their two sons, Anthony
J. D’Antonio and Peter D’Antonio.

She is survived by her grandson
Anthony J. D’Antonio II and wife Linda of Decatur, Ala., two
great-grandchildren, Nicole and A.J., daughter-in-law Kathryn Angelucci and two
sisters, Catherine D’Antonio of Kennett Square and Josephine Klinger, of West
Chester. She was predeceased by her sisters, Angelina Giambrone, Anna Romani,
Ester Assetto, Mary Valentino, and her brother Louis DiStefano.

Florence and her husband were
self-employed in the mushroom business for many years. She was a member of St.
Patrick’s Church. She loved to cook and crochet and was a master at both.

Mass will be held on Friday,
Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will be immediately
following the mass at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Kennett Square
