Paul Weldin, Jr. of Kennett Square


Paul Weldin, Jr., 82 of Kennett Square, died Saturday Aug. 15 at
the Friends Home in Kennett Square. He was the husband of the late Onalee
Tuttle Weldin who died in 1999 and with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in Blue Ball, Del., he was the son of the late Paul and Elva
(Hopkins) Weldin Sr.

 He served our country during World War II in the Navy from 1943
to 1947.

He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Stockbridge
School of Agriculture and served as a Golf Course Superintendent retiring after
32 years of service.

Survivors include two daughters, Melanie H. Mandroc and her
husband Timothy of Downingtown, and Deborah W. Hufnell of Parkesburg, one
sister, Esther Weldin of Wilmington, and three grandchildren, Jason, Timothy,
and Meghan.

A heartfelt thanks to Neighborhood Hospice and especially the
entire staff of Linden Hall and Friends Home without whom, the last months of
his life would not have had the comfort and caring they provided.

 A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday Aug. 21 at the
Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 W. State St. Kennett
Square.Family and friends may
visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. before the service.Interment will be in Longwood Cemetery.Contributions in his memory may be made

Mary D. Reiter, formerly of Downingtown


Mary D. Reiter, 96,
formerly of Downingtown, died
Sunday, Aug. 16 at
the Pocopson Home in West
Chester. She was the wife of William Reiter, who died in 1995 and
with whom she shared 15 years of marriage.

Born in Paterson, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Charles
and Ellen Smith Davis.

Mary was employed with Pepperidge Farm for 26 years before
retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church and
the East Lynn Grange. She was very active in the Kennett Area Senior Center for
many years and enjoyed taking walks in Longwood Gardens.

She is survived by one son, Charles Lammey and his wife
Sandra of King of Prussia,
two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Aug. 29 at
the Kennett Area Senior Center, 427 South Walnut Street, Kennett Square.

Alfred “ Al” R. Lattanzio, 84, of Landenberg

Alfred “ Al” R. Lattanzio, 84, of Landenberg,
passed away at his residence on Sunday, Aug. 16. He was the husband of Emma Versagli
Lattanzio, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Astoria, N.Y.,
he was the son of the late Robert and Laura Salerni Lattanzio.

Al was a Salesman at Wilmington Plumbing & Supply Co.
in Wilmington
for 20 years, retiring in 1977.  He then worked in the Weights &
Measures division for Chester County in West Chester for 12 years,
retiring in 1990.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.

Al was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church in
Avondale, the American Legion in Kennett Square and the Kennett Area Senior
Center.

He enjoyed playing Racketball, Squash and Baseball. He was
accepted to play for the New York Giants, but did not follow through with that.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Vera Sacco
and her husband Joe of Beacon, N.Y., and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Bernard Lattanzio and two
sisters, Angie Orlando and Mary Sottosanti.

You are invited to visit with Al’s family and friends from 6 to 9
p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State
Street, Kennett Square, (Phone: 610-444-4116.) And again on Thursday morning,
Aug. 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Church, 8910 Gap
Newport Pike (Route 41), Avondale. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00.
Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Del.
