 The Chadds Ford Historical Society will hold its annual yard sale on Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to noon. For sellers, the cost is $20, with checks made payable to the Chadds Ford Historical Society. Payment must be received by May 11. The Brandywine Valley Chorale gets back into the swing this weekend with a performance dedicated to “Remembrance & Hope” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, in the Unionville High School Auditorium. The program emphasizes remembrance for those we’ve lost while inspiring hope of brighter days ahead. The concert will highlight two diverse works, the Fauré Requiem and Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $15 for students and children. They can be purchased at the door or online here.

The annual Chester County Studio Tour is set for May 14 and 15.

The Chester County Studio Tour is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15. The annual two-day event showcases, highlights, and shares artists with art connoisseurs, collectors, and curious neighbors. Widely regarded as a casual way to introduce art lovers to the arts and become immersed in the creative talent scattered throughout the county, the tour returns for its 12th year, and includes more than 66 studios throughout Chester County. Studios will exhibit painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, clay, glass, paper, and fiber. All artists will be present to interact with both buyers and browsers alike. Dr. Mehmet Oz will be the guest speaker at the Chadds Ford Republican Party meeting on Monday, May 16 at Brandywine Prime. The meeting runs from 5-7 p.m. The cost is $100 per person, $150 per couple, and $600 for a table. RSVP by May 5 to info@chaddsfordrepublicans.com.

The next stop on the way to approval for a rebuilt Hank’s Place is at the Chadds Ford Township Zoning Hearing Board, scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 18 at the township municipal building. The restaurant needs variances and waivers for outside dining, parking spaces, and to rebuild in the flood plain.
