Police Log March 24: Thief wants clean teeth

Pennsylvania State Police

Media Barracks

Police are investigating the theft of a $120 Oral B electric toothbrush from the CVS in Concord Township shortly before 9 a.m. on Feb. 25. The incident report said store management recognized the suspect from previous retail thefts, but the report didn't include the suspect's description.

Someone used a stolen credit card to buy two humidifiers with a combined value of $4,262 from a location on Aldan Avenue in Concord Township on Feb. 23.

Avondale Barracks

State police from the Avondale barracks said an 85-year-old man from Kennett Square was injured in a two-car crash on School House Road at Longwood Road on March 18. The victim, however, was not transported. He was also cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Police said they seized "large amounts of marijuana and paraphernalia" from a vehicle they pulled over in a traffic stop on Union Street in Kennett Township on Feb. 19. The report said the operator was driving with a suspended license and that troopers could smell marijuana coming from the car. Police obtained a search warrant, the report said, searched the vehicle, and found the contraband.
