Police Log Sept. 24: $10K jewelry theft reported

11205124_10153279720643627_7567418857375995848_n• State police from Troop K, Media barracks, are investigating the reported theft of $10,000 worth of jewelry from a home on Mill Race Road in Concord Township on Sept. 21. The theft happened sometime between 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 484-840-1000.

• State police cited Kyle S. Macklin, 22, of Kennett Square, following a single vehicle accident on Ring Road in Chadds Ford. The report said Macklin was driving north on Ring near Bullock Road at 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 19 when he lost control of his car and hit an embankment. Police said he was driving too fast for conditions.

• Two men, unidentified in a police report, were cited for harassment following an incident at Mile High Bar in Concord Township on Sept. 19.

• Police arrested Anatolio Cruz Salazar, 28, of Wilmington, with DUI following a hit and run incident on Route 1 in Concord on Sept. 13.

• A 12-year-old received a minor injury following a single-car accident outside of a building on Route 202 in Concord Township on Sept. 13. According to a police report, Linda A. ONeill, 50, became confused and stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and hit a concrete trash receptacle and concrete wall. The injured minor was a passenger in ONeill’s car. The girl was transported to Dupont Hospital for treatment.

• State police are investigating a drug overdose in Concord Township on Sept. 15. A report said troopers were dispatched to a residence on Willits Way at 7:40 p.m. They found Jason John Kwiatkowski unconscious from a heroin overdose on the bathroom floor. EMS personnel administered six doses of Narcan. Kwiatkowski regained consciousness and was transported to Riddle Hospital for Treatment, police said.

• A Wilmington man was charged with public drunkenness following a fall at The Hampton Inn in Concord Township on Sept. 14. State police said Christopher Lientz, 55, had to be taken to Crozer-Chester Hospital for treatment of severe lacerations and bruising he sustained when he on the front pavement of the hotel at 6:45 p.m.

• Alejandro Arizmendi, 26, of Kennett Square was charged with driving without a license following an accident on Sept. 10. Police said Arizmendi was driving too fast for conditions when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a utility pole on East Cypress Street at 6:35 p.m. No injuries were reported.

• Police charged Fancisco Bautista, 24, of Oxford, with DUI after he parked his vehicle on Route 12 at 3:14 a.m. on Sept. 19.

• Breya Lynn Galli, of Lincoln University, was charged with aggravated assault after she allegedly kicked an emergency medical technician in the head and arm, a police report said. The incident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 in the southbound lane of Route 1 near School House Road in East Marlborough Township.

• On Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10:26 p.m., New Garden Township Police observed a vehicle turn west onto Hillendale Road without head or tail lamps.  After a traffic stop, police said the driver, Kathleen Bowman, 42, of Lincoln University, failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for suspected drunken-driving.

• Kennett Square Police arrested Diego Bedolla-Lopez, 22, of Kennett Square, for DUI following a traffic stop at West Mulberry and Meredith streets on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 11:45 p.m. Rodrigo Flores-Lopez, 20, of Kennett Square, was also processed for DUI following a traffic stop in the 300 block of East State Street on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 10:48 p.m., police said.

• Borough police are investigating a report that sometime between Aug. 5 and Aug. 29, someone stole a backpack sprayer, a Husquevarna trim saw, a Husquevarna chain saw and a Stihl saw, valued at approximately $2,200, from a business in the 400 block of South Walnut Street.

• Carlos Pantoja-Duran, 19, of Kennett Square, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:40 p.m. in the 100 block of South Willow Street for possessing instruments of crime, resisting arrest, and drug offenses, said Kennett Square Police. Pantoja-Duran was taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post cash bail of $3,000.

• Borough police issued a number of recent citations for underage drinking. A male, 17, of Kennett Square; Sean Edmonds, 18, of Landenberg; and Matthew Petrick, 18, of Avondale, were cited on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 2:46 a.m. in the 500 block of West Cypress Street.  Wilmer Roblero-Lopez, 20, of Quarryville, received a citation on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 2:29 p.m. in the 400 block of South Walnut Street.

• In addition, a 17-year-old male and Jose Dominguez, 20, both of Kennett Square, were cited for underage drinking on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 8:21 p.m. in the 100 block of Race Street. Kennett Square Police cited a 17-year-old male from Avondale and a 17-year-old male from Lincoln University for the same offense on Friday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of East South Street.

• Two 17-year-old males; Daniel Morales, 18; and Miguel Morales, 19; all of Kennett Square, received disorderly conduct citations on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 6:10 p.m. in the 200 block of South Walnut Street after Kennett Square Police responded to a reported disturbance.  One of the juveniles was also cited for underage drinking, police said.
