Charges have been filed and an arrest warrant has been issued for Ernest "Ernie" Richard Day Jr., in connection with the strong-arm robbery of a Landenberg resident on Nov. 19, a report said. Southern Chester County Regional Police Department investigators, assisted by New Castle County Police and Acme Loss Prevention personnel, quickly identified Day as a suspect, after a review of security footage at the Lantana Square Acme. Further investigation revealed that Day had used his grandmother's car, without her permission, to facilitate this crime. Charges, including burglary, robbery, theft, and stalking, were filed in district court. Anyone with information about this crime or the whereabouts of Ernest Day, Jr. is asked to contact the SCCRPD at 610-268-2907 or to call 911.
