Roadwork for Oct. 5-Oct. 11

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Oct. 5-Oct. 11. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

• From Oct. 11 to 14, Route 1 in Middletown Township will be completely closed between Red Roof Drive and Valley Road on a 24-hour basis. Detours will be posted

• Weekday lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled to continue on Route 926 (Street Road) between Pocopson Road and School House roads in East Marlborough, Pennsbury and Pocopson townships through Friday, Oct. 11 for tree trimming operations.

• Continuing through Oct. 11, new gas services will cause lane restrictions on Baltimore Pike, between Orchard Road and Pennock Avenue, in East Marlborough Township.

• Barrier installation will cause lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road between Green Valley Road and Powell Road in Newlin Township through June 2020.

• Road reconstruction will close Spring Valley Road — between Conchester Highway and Concord Road — in Concord Township through April 30, 2020. Detours will be posted.•

• Lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway, between Routes 1 and Clayton Park Drive will continue through Oct. 20, 2020 for reconstruction and widening.
