The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a statement regarding a light wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain across a portion of the area during the afternoon and evening today.
A light wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected in the greater Chadds Ford area. Potential snow/sleet accumulations are less than 1 inch. Potential ice accumulations are less than 0.10 inch.
Wintry precipitation is forecast to start from west to east this afternoon and end the evening. This timing would coincide with the evening rush hour.
Slippery travel may occur where snow/sleet mix is expected. More significant travel impacts — including considerable delays for the evening rush — may transpire where freezing rain develops.
