Bertha E. Swisher, 90, of New London, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the wife of Norman S. Swisher, who died in 1982 and with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Graterford, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Leese Bowman.
She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed being outdoors and loved all animals, especially cats.
Mrs. Swisher is survived by two sons, Timothy N. Swisher and his wife Joyce of West Grove, and Robert A. Swisher of New London; one brother William Bowman of Rice Landing; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was one of ten children.
You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at the New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Road, (Route 896), New London. Her funeral service will follow. Burial will be in the adjoining Church cemetery.
