Richard C. Layton of Wilmington

Richard C. Layton, 83, of Wilmington, died at home on Oct. 14, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Layton served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War and, using the G.I. bill, attended the Philadelphia College of Art in Philadelphia for two years upon his return. He studied art with Frank E. Schoonover, Carolyn Wyeth and with his mentor and friend Andrew Wyeth.…
