Charlotte R. Tingle, 88, of West Grove, died at her residence on Monday, May 21. She was the wife of Alvin O. Tingle, who died in 2008, and with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in Claymont, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mabel Flora Gibney.
She was an executive assistant for the Alexis I. DuPont School District in New Castle County.
She was a very avid Bridge player, and enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the United States, Europe and Asia.
Mrs. Tingle was a member of the Kennett Area Senior Center and was a volunteer at Meals On Wheels.
She is survived by one son, Alvin O. Tingle II and his wife Debbie of New London, and one daughter, Constance T. Grabowy and her husband Richard of Harvard, Mass.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Hazel Smith, Mildred Gibney and Doris Collins.
Services and burial will be private.
