Frank A. Love of Concord Township.
Frank A. Love, 79, of Concord Twp., died Dec. 19, at Maris Grove.
Born to the late Robert and Reba
Curry Love and raised in Aston Mills, Mr. Love resided in Maris Grove for 3
years after 13 years in The Village of Lady Lake, Fla., however most of his
life he resided in Aston.
A graduate of Media High School, he
played baseball on the high school team. He then served in the Navy during the Korean War
where he was an electrician. A carpenter by trade most of his life, he retired
as a facilities manager after 10 years from Villanova University, he previously
was employed for 15 years with General Electric in S.W. Philadelphia.
Frank was an avid golfer and was a
member of Concord Country Club, in his early years, he played semi-pro baseball
for the Delco League as well as softball for several local leagues. At the 79th
Annual Media Old-Timer Banquet, he received an award for Delco Baseball. He
also enjoyed bowling where he at one time bowled in the league with St. Francis
de Sales Church. He enjoyed the Eagles at Franklin Field where he attended with
the Media Republican Club.
He is survived by his wife of 56
years, Eileen M. O'Brien Love, one daughter, Deborah F. Love of Chadds Ford,
two granddaughters, Alexandra D'Elia and Elizabeth D'Elia, both of Chadds Ford
and one sister, Joan Love Davison of Aston. He was preceded in death by a
brother, Harold (Jack) Love.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on
Monday, Dec. 27, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley,
where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and also from 10 to 11 a.m.
Monday. Interment St. Francis de Sales Cemetery, Aston.
