Kids Create at Mt. Cuba Center.

Let your kids' creativity bloom during an upcoming Kids Create on Saturday, July 13, or Aug. 10 at Mt. Cuba Center. Mt. Cuba partners with award-winning folk artist, LaFate, to lead a unique children’s art program in the gardens. Kids will create a mural from natural materials and go home with their own painting. This program is intended for ages 4 to 12. Art supplies are provided. Admission to Kids Create is included with garden admission, advance registration is required.  Register here.

The next festive Friday at Lonqwood Gardens is July 12.

The next Festive Friday at Longwood Gardens is July 12 from 5-10 p.m. During Festive Friday, visitors to Longwood can enjoy themed fountain performances, concessions, and entertainment. The July event features circus arts by performers from the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts, spotlight tours, and a family nature stroll.     For more information, visit the website.

Beginning this Sunday, June 30, and running through Sept. 22, the Brandywine River Museum of Art will display the photography of Frank Stewart in an exhibit, Frank Stewart’s Nexus: An American Photographer’s Journey, 1960s to the Present. This exhibition is a retrospective of Frank Stewart’s photography that centers on his sensitive and spontaneous approach to portraying world cultures and black life in many forms — including music, art, travel, food, and dance. His work over the years captured intimate and empathetic images of lives experienced and observed across subjects, cities, and countries.

The Oxford Art Alliance members Exhibit runs from July 5 through July 26.

The annual members’ exhibit at the Oxford Art Alliance is set for July 5 through 26. The show is a celebration of creativity and community, welcoming artists of all skill levels and backgrounds to submit and exhibit their work. Open to every member of the Alliance, this showcase features an array of mediums, colors, subjects and themes, reflecting the diversity of the local art scene in Southern Chester County. This exhibit begins with a reception, First Friday July 5 from 5-8 p.m. at the Oxford Arts Alliance 38 S. Third Street, Oxford. Admission is free.
