Media Barracks

State police from the Media barracks will be conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint in Concord Township beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.

An 18-year-old from Chadds Ford was arrested for shoplifting at the East Marlborough Township Walmart on Sept. 15. A report said he walked past all points of sale without paying for the $89 worth of merchandise.

Police said Michael J. Lembo, 55, of Souderton, was cited for leaving the roadway after the Acura TBX he was driving ran off the side of Parkerville Road in Pennsbury Township and struck a utility pole on Sept. 15.

An unidentified motorist was cited for DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Church Alley and E. Cypress Street in Kennett Square. The incident happened at 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 10. No specific reason for the stop was given except to say there were traffic violations, but the report did say the driver admitted to drinking alcohol.

A deer was struck in the westbound lane of Route 1 in Pennsbury Township and thrown into the eastbound lane where it was struck again by a motorcyclist. The biker was transported to Chester County Hospital.

Police said they took a driver into custody for DUI in Kennett Township on Sept. 13. The report did not identify the driver, but said the vehicle, a 2016 Honda Odyssey, was stopped for traffic violations. Police conducted field sobriety tests that indicated impairment.

Christina B. Derr, 38, of Kennett Square was cited for following too closely after she struck another vehicle from behind on Route 1 at Parkerville Road at 6:08 a.m. on Sept. 5.

A 42-year-old woman from Oxford, not identified, was arrested for shoplifting at the East Marlborough Walmart on Aug. 22. She is accused of stealing $92 worth of merchandise.

Police said a 53-year-old woman from Wilmington, not identified, was arrested for stealing $76 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Sept. 22.

State police said they are investigating a robbery that reportedly happened at 11:42 p.m. on Sept. 1 at a home on Waterglen Drive in Pennsbury Township.
