Battle lines are being drawn, at least as far as reenactments are concerned. The Chadds Ford Historical Society is gearing up for its reenactment and colonial festival commemorating the 1777 Battle of Brandywine, the largest land battle of the American War of Independence. This year’s two-day reenactment/festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16-17, on the grounds of the Historical Society at 1736 Creek Road in Chadds Ford. Reenactors in the personae of soldiers and camp followers will be on hand, as will colonial crafters and contemporary vendors. Free parking on site.
