Twilight on the Terrace at Mt. Cuba Center.

It will be Twilight on the Terrace at Mt. Cuba Center on Friday, May 19 from 5-8 p.m. Unwind from the week with a bite to eat while enjoying live music on the terrace and evening access to the gardens. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. For more details, visit mtcubacenter.org/twilight. The cost is included in the price of admission.

The United Way of Chester County successfully raised $100,000 for its Community Impact & Innovation Fund during its Chester County Stronger Golf Classic fundraiser.

Delaware County Symphony’s final concert of the season is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 7 p.m. in Neumann University's Meagher Theatre. The concert is entitled The Koussevitzky Connection. Serge Koussevitzky was the music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1924 to 1949 and was a great champion of modern music. During the concert, Youth Concerto Competition winner Sophia Nam will perform the Viola Concerto by British composer Sir William Walton. The Curtis Symphony Orchestra performs at Longwood Gardens on Friday, May 12.

The Curtis Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Longwood Gardens on Friday, May 12 at 7 p.m. The program includes Dai Wei’s Awakening Lion, Béla Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in G major, Sz. 95, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 in F Minor, Op. 36. A three-day pop-up art exhibit is coming to downtown Oxford on June 2, 3, and 4. The Hook Experiment will present the works of more than 25 area artists in the Hook Building at 45 South 3rd Street in downtown Oxford. This three-day-only, multi-disciplinary exhibit features artists from Oxford and surrounding areas sharing their most experimental and innovative work to date. A diverse variety of disciplines will be on display, including two- and three-dimensional work, film, an immersive sound bath, and live music. This is a free event. Hours are Friday, June 2, 4–9 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday, June 4, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hoist some brew at the Brandywine Battlefield Park on June 17.

The Brandywine Battlefield Park Associates is planning their first-ever Brews at the Battlefield beer sampling event at Brandywine Battlefield Park scheduled for Saturday, June 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. Participants will be able to sample a variety of beers from more than a half-dozen breweries. There will also be a Burgers by Wildwich food truck. In addition, there will be live music by Sin Brothers band. Tickets are $40.00 per person for general admission and $15.00 per person for designated drivers. This is a 21 and over event; must have a valid ID.
