Road Report for Feb. 4 through Feb. 10

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect drivers in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Feb. 4 through Feb. 10. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

From Wednesday, Feb. 15, through early March, a 24/7 road closure is scheduled on the Route 926 bridge over a branch of White Clay Creek between Howellmoore and Lamborntown roads in London Grove and West Marlborough townships. During the closure, motorists are directed to use Route 841 (North Chatham Road), Route 842 (Clonmell Upland Road), and Newark Road.

Gas line installation will cause a daytime lane closure on E. Market Street at Railroad Street in West Chester from Feb. 9 through Feb. 16.

Utility restoration will cause daytime lane closures on Route 82 (Union Street) between W. Linden Street and Maple Alley in Kennett Square from Jan. 27 through Feb. 7.

Utility restoration will also cause daytime lane closures on Route 52 (Kennett Pike) between Hillendale Road and Pond View Drive in Kennett Township from Jan. 27 to Feb. 7.

Water main replacement will cause daytime lane closures on N. High Street between W. Ashbridge and W. Gay streets, in West Chester through April 28.

Underground work will cause partial daytime lane closures on Market Street between High and New streets in West Chester through April 1.

Motorists should expect lane restrictions with a detour for trucks on Route 162 at its intersection with Route 82 in Newlin Township because of bridge repair. There is currently no date for completion.
