All UCF schools and offices will dismiss early today, Feb. 4, according to an email from Superintendent of Schools John Sanville.

“With forecasts for freezing rain to hit the area later this afternoon, I’m going to err on the side of caution. It is always difficult to make a school closing decision based on a forecast alone - however with the timing of the potential freezing rain - if we were to wait we could potentially send our students and bus drivers out in the worst of conditions. I appreciate your understanding and flexibility,” Sanville wrote.

The schedule is as follows:

Middle high school students will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m.; elementary school students are out at 2:45 p.m.

All afternoon and evening activities are canceled, and there will be no Y Care or late bus runs.
