COVID-related unemployment information

The Pennsylvania Office of Unemployment Compensation’s website is offering information for those people who have been unable to work because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In short, some people may be eligible for unemployment or workers’ compensation benefits.

People may be eligible if their place of employment is temporarily closed or goes out of business because of the outbreak; if their work hours were cut; if employers tell them not to come to work because they might get or spread the virus; or if they’ve been quarantined or told to self-isolate.

Additionally, workers’ compensation may be available for those exposed in the workplace.

For more information or to apply for benefits, go to the website for the Office of Unemployment Compensation.
