Roadwork for Nov. 30-Dec. 6

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Nov. 30- Dec. 6. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

• Inlet repair is expected to restrict Oakbourne Road — between S. Concord and Beechwood roads in Westtown Township — to one lane from Dec. 2 to Dec. 13.

• Bridge reconstruction continues to close Creek Road — between Riverbend Lane and Country Club Road in Birmingham Township. The closure is expected to continue through May 2020.

• Barrier installation will cause lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road between Green Valley Road and Powell Road in Newlin Township through June 2020.

• Road reconstruction will close Spring Valley Road — between Conchester Highway and Concord Road — in Concord Township through April 30, 2020. Detours will be posted.

• Lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway, between Routes 1 and Clayton Park Drive will continue through Oct. 20, 2020, for reconstruction and widening.

• The BPA of Western Delaware County will hold its annual Holiday Party at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec.11 at La Fava Restaurant and Bar, 1102 Baltimore Pike in Concord Township. The cost is $65 for members, $75 for nonmembers.

• The Brandywine Business Network will hold its Preholiday Social at Timothy’s, 929 S. High Street in West Chester, from 6:30-:30 on Thursday, Dec. 5. Spouses and S.O.s are invited, and you are welcome to bring prospective members as your guest(s) as well. We need to give Timothy’s an attendance number for the food, so please RSVP yea or nay (plus whether or not you’re bringing a guest) to BrandywineBusinessNetwork@gmail.com no later than Dec. 2.
