Pennsbury Township news in brief

• Pennsbury Township is applying for a $27,000 grant to offset the cost of amending the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance. According to Township Manager Kathy Howley, 60 percent of the grant money would come from the county. She said that if the application is denied, the township would resubmit.

• Supervisors voted 3-0 to remain neutral in a zoning hearing for a front yard setback and swimming pool issue for the Russomagno family on a 13.75-acre property on Fairville Road. The pool would be 50 feet up a hill 467 feet back from the road so the pool should not be visible. The hearing is scheduled for April.

• Supervisor Aaron McIntyre said the school district is still accepting bids for the stormwater runoff situation at Hillendale Elementary School. Runoff from the school property has damaged private property, causes flooding at Hickory Hill and Craigs Mill roads and an extreme sediment buildup in Craigs Mill Run.
