Bruce B. Roark of Hockessin

Bruce B. Roark, 81, of Hockessin, died at his brother’s
residence in Kennett Square, on Thursday, May 5. He was the husband of Leona
Dunn Roark who died in 1993, and with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

Born in Creston, N.C., he was the son of the late John F.
and Melvina Lewis Roark.

He was a carpenter, working out of the local Carpenter’s
Union No. 626 in New Castle, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of Christiana Lodge No. 35 A.F. & A.M.,
the American Legion Post No. 10 in Newark, and a lifetime member of the United
Brotherhood of Carpenters, with over 50 years of service.

He enjoyed trout fishing, doing crossword puzzles,
reading and was a avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

He is survived by one brother, Joseph J Roark and his wife
Caroldean of Kennett Square; two sisters, Virginia Watson and her husband
Claude of Kennett Square, and Georgia Perry of West Jefferson, N.C., and
numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Kyle Roark,
two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Price and Geneva Roark.

You are invited to visit with Bruce’s family and friends
from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 11, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral
Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, (Phone: 610-444-4116). His funeral
service will follow at noon. Burial will be in Hockessin Friends
Cemetery, Old Wilmington Road, Hockessin.
