Alfred “ Mickey “ C. Oas formerly of Pocopson

Alfred “ Mickey “ C. Oas, 70, of Charleston, S.C., formerly
of Pocopson, died Wednesday, April 13 at the Saint Francis Hospital,
Charleston, S.C.

Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late Gustav
and Mary Margarite Tyson Oas.

Mickey loved people and family gatherings. He had a great
memory for people’s names. He enjoyed dancing and watching Lawrence Welk on TV.

He is survived by three brothers, Carl Oas of Chesapeake
City, Md., Frank Oas of Atglen, and John Oas of Avon Park, Fla.; five
sisters, Jessie O. Pennington of Charleston, S.C., Eleanor Clark of
Kennett Square, H. Rebecca Quinn of Phoenixville, Jane Teter of Parkesburg, and Dorothy
Banner of Pasadena, M.d. and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Sarah Donia and Elizabeth
“Betty” Oas Journey, and one brother, Walter “Pete” Oas.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 10-11
a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West
State Street., Kennett Square (Phone: 610-444-4116). His funeral service will
follow at 11:00. Burial will be in Longwood Cemetery, Route 1, Kennett Square.
