Jean Terrell Bryce of Kennett Square

Jean Terrell Bryce, 90, of Kennett Square, died at
Crosslands on Nov. 29. Jean was preceded in death by John, her husband of 45
years.

She was born in Beaverdam, Va. to Charles Pierce and Mabel
Terrell.

She attended Longwood College in Farmville, Va. Moving
to Kennett Square in 1950, Jean was active as a Cub Scout den mother and Girl
Scout leader. She supported the Chester County Hospital by volunteering
with the Red Cross Blood Mobile, Encore Resale Shop and the Hospital Auxiliary.

She was active in the Church of the Advent, singing in
the choir and serving as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary and the Altar
Guild. She and John were long time members of The Kennett Square Golf and
Country Club where she was an avid tennis player.

She is survived by her son, Steve and Ann Bryce of
Yorklyn, Del.; her daughter, Marcia Phelps of West Chester; six
grandchildren: Alison and Steven Eill, Malvern; Meredith Phelps and Jason
Schank, Ringwood, N.J.; Drew Phelps, Cambridge, Ma.; Amy and Keven Ziegler,
Randolph, N.J.; Kimberly and Jeffrey Eckerson, Hockessin, Del.; Michael Bryce,
Middletown, Del.; and eight great grandchildren.

Her Memorial service will be held at 11 Friday morning, Dec.
3, at The Episcopal Church of the Advent, 401 N. Union Street (Union and
Fairthorn Streets), Kennett Square, PA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Episcopal
Church of the Advent, 201 Crestline Drive, Kennett Square, PA 19348 or to
the Chester County Hospital Foundation, 701 E. Marshall Street, West
Chester, PA 19380.

Emma Bagnato of Kennett Square

Emma Bagnato, 89, of Kennett Square, passed away on
Saturday, Nov. 27 at Linden Hall in Kennett Square. She was the wife of Joseph
Bagnato, who died in 2001.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late
Gaspare and Flavia Mattioni Calvarese.

Mrs. Bagnato was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church in
Kennett Square.

She is survived by one son, Mark Bagnato and his wife
Fredrecka of Atglen; one daughter, Marlene Piacentino and her husband Tom of
West Grove; one brother, Mario Calvarese of Toughkenamon; and by four
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son, Joseph Bagnato, Jr.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from
8:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home
(610-444-4116), 250 W. State St., Kennett Square. Her funeral mass will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett
Square. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, N. Union St., Kennett Square.

Dorothy M. Spencer

Dorothy Manley Spencer, age 97, died Nov. 28 at Ware
Presbyterian Village. Her husband of 65 years, Edison, predeceased her in
January 1997.

Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Stephen D. and
Edna S. Manley, Dorothy lived most of her life in the Unionville/Kennett
Square area and was a 1931 graduate of Unionville High School.

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters: Jean Moyer
(Sidney) Brodheadsville; Eleanor Paynter (Walter) Jennersville; and Linda
Sheppheard (Robert) Nottingham. Her daughter Edna Bertrando (Richard)
Avondale, predeceased her in March 1999. She is also survived by her sister
Thelma Roney, Kennett Square.

Prior to her declining health, Dorothy was active in The
Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square, The Kennett Area Senior Center; and as a
member of the Good Sam Camping Club.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ware and Willow Tree
Hospice for their compassionate care.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers
contributions may be made to Ware Presbyterian Village; Attn: The Village Care
Fund, 7 E. Locust St., Oxford, PA 19363 or Willow Tree Hospice, 100 Sycamore
Dr., West Grove, PA 19390.
