A Win for the Farmer and a Win for Fresh Water: Cover Cropping

Thursday, March 30
Doors open at 6 p.m. for light refreshments

Lecture begins at 6:30

Cover crops are helping farmers to produce more yield, protect our waterways, and take better care of their soil. Learn about the cover cropping approach from the “Coach” himself, Steve Groff. “I will always be a farmer first. My decades of experience with cover crops fuels my passion for sharing what I’ve learned.”

Then hear from Stroud Center scientists about the research they are doing in conjunction with local farmer, Jamie Hicks, and his experiences thus far with cover cropping.

Calling all farmers, large landowners, and CSA, conservation, and agricultural groups -- you don’t want to miss this! RSVP's are appreciated but not required, visit: www.stroudcenter.org/events. For more information, call 610-268-2153, x288 or email jprovinski@stroudcenter.org.

Sponsored by Exelon Generation and PECO.
