The Pennsbury Land Trust will present a free lecture on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. Sheila E. Fleming, the Brandywine Conservancy's manager for municipal assistance, will speak on issues of land conservation in a program entitled "The Fight for Land and Water." Topics will include the impacts of development, including environmental, financial, and quality-of-life issues. The benefits of land preservation will be discussed, as well as an explanation of how the process works. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
